"Better the second
time around" Republican-American
(Waterbury, CT) - March 8, 2005
Teens who have a taste for designer gowns but have a wallet better suited
to Wal-Mart, should check out the Perfect Prom Project Boutique on April
3, from 1 – 5 p.m. at Waterbury Youth Services 95 North Main Street.There
is no charge for the over 150 glam gowns, many with designer labels and
some with price tags still dangling from them. Many of the gowns cost hundreds
of dollars new and were worn once for only a few hours. Plus almost-new,
strappy dress shoes, slinky wraps and other accessories, in all colors and
sizes were for the taking.
This is the second year for Perfect Prom Project Boutique, which was the
brainchild of Odette Scacco, owner of Salon Odette in Middlebury. Scacco
wanted to give these beautiful gowns a "second chance" while helping
local teens afford a high quality prom ensemble.
